The information we collect

You are not required to provide any personal information on the public areas of the website. However, you may choose to do so by signing up on the website for our email newsletter, or agreeing to other email contact, and providing us with information about yourself, such as your name and address, so that we can deliver the newsletter and respond to requests for information. You can unsubscribe from emails and further contact at any time on request, when we will delete any details we hold on you.

How we use this information

We will use the information you provide only for the purposes above, namely to provide you with our newsletter or to respond to enquiries and requests for information about Duck in Boots, its sellers and its shop.

We may also use this information to telephone, email or write to you about any events or offers we think might interest you. You can request not to be contacted in this way at any time.

Information may also be shared between Duck in Boots and its sellers to enable us to respond to your enquiries and requests more effectively and efficiently.

We will not, under any circumstances, sell your personal information. It will not be provided for marketing and only to use in relation to orders or order enquiries. 



We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you disclose online and we will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.

Custom & Personalised Orders

Customised and Personalised Items

All requests for customising or personalising items must be clearly communicated to Duck in Boots in writing (on the notes section of the order form if in person). Depending upon the service requested, it may be necessary for the client to review work at different stages. It is the responsibility of the client to request this opportunity if it is not offered. Updates can be provided via Skype, electronic photos or the client may visit in person.


At the time of ordering the client will be given an estimated date by which the order will be completed or a timescale will be indicated within the website listing. Any given time-frame is intended as a guide only and orders may be ready earlier or later. In the event an order is likely to be delayed beyond the estimated completion date, Duck in Boots or the creator, will contact the client to advise of the extended period. If completion of the order exceeds an additional two weeks (14 calendar days) beyond the original estimated completion date, Duck in Boots may offer a discount or another goodwill gesture, at their discretion, to the client. In such circumstances, however, the client has the right to cancel the order and receive a full refund (this relates to Duck in Boots items only. Items by third parties are not obligated to offer the same). 

Deposits and Payments

Orders with a value greater than £100 will require a 30% non-refundable deposit. The remainder of the balance will then become due when the order is complete and ready for shipping unless a payment agreement is entered into. Deposits are non-refundable.

Orders with a value lower than £100 will require full payment in advance, unless otherwise agreed with Duck in Boots.

The order form will form a record of payments made and required until the amount has been settled in full, when a receipted invoice will be issued.

Where a payment agreement is entered into, due to licensing, it is not possible for us to accept payment in more than four instalments, including the deposit. The terms regarding a payment agreement will be specific to each order, but most commonly will consist of a deposit and three further payments paid at agreed stages. Each payment will be non-refundable. Payment agreements are granted at the discretion of Duck in Boots.


All items are sent via tracked delivery systems unless they are letter box sized. Duck in Boots accepts no responsibility for items becoming damaged or lost in transit, but will assist in any reasonable way we can to resolve the issue with the courier should the client require replacement items. Items from third party sellers may not be posted via tracked methods.



Pre order items are shipped once they are in-stock and have been checked for faults. If you place an order of multiple items and some of these are pre-order, unless otherwise prior arranged, these will be sent together once all parts of your order are ready for dispatch. If you have opeted for local collection, please contact us if you would like parts of your order dropped to the collection point before your pre-order items.


Non-personalised Items

If a client needs to cancel an order, this must be done in writing (email or Facebook accepted) by the client who placed the original order.

For orders that have not already been shipped but have been paid for, 75% of the order total will be refunded.

For orders that have already been shipped, no refund will be given.

Personalised/Customised Items

If a client needs to cancel an order, this must be done in writing (email or Facebook accepted) by the client who placed the original order.

If the order has already been personalised then regretfully a refund cannot be given.

If the order has not yet been personalised then 75% of the order total will be refunded.

In the unlikely event that Duck in Boots is unable to fulfil an order after it has been placed, the client will be contacted in writing and a full refund will be given.

Returns and Refunds

Returns can only be accepted on custom or personalised items if the item is faulty. Photographic evidence must be supplied or arrangements made for Duck in Boots to inspect the item. If the fault is rectifiable, Duck in Boots will do this, free of charge, of course. If the fault is such that it cannot be corrected, clients can choose to have a replacement provided or receive a full refund.


All works produced by Duck in Boots are protected by copyright. They cannot, therefore, be copied or altered without prior consent.

All artistic works undertaken by Duck in Boots are artistic interpretations of the subject matter and are not direct copies of any other work. We will not accept requests to intimidate or copy other peoples work including Disney. Any images of work resembling other work is to demonstrate skill level only and are not available to purchase.

Artistic Licence

As freehand fine artistry, all works can contain variations and no two items will ever be identical. Although every effort will be taken to comply with clients’ requests, Duck in Boots reserves the right to use artistic licence to produce a work they deem to be worthy of sale.

Use of Images

Duck in Boots reserves the right to use images of any and all works for their own commercial use. If you require images of your order to be kept from appearing in this way you must express this at the time the order is placed in writing (on the notes section of the order form).

Data Protection

Order forms and invoices containing client information will be stored for five years. At no time will Duck in Boots pass any information on to third parties. No payment information will be held.


In the unlikely event a client is unhappy with the service or item they have received, this should be expressed in writing with a clear explanation of the reasons. Duck in Boots will review any such complaint and get a third party review of the situation to assess the quality of work produced and the validity of the complaint, if necessary. If the complaint is upheld, a full refund will be given.




Dispatch times

All in-stock items are dispatched within 3 working days of date of payment received. In the event you have ordered a pre-order or made to order item, this item will be dispatched after the balance has been received and after the item has arrived with us. Please check the product listing carefully for estimated arrival dates on pre-order items. We only dispatch complete orders unless otherwise agreed. If your order contains a pre-order item, then your whole order will be dispatched once this is in-stock. If you wish to discuss splitting your delivery please get in touch. There may be small additional charge. Some items are held off site and may be sent separately.


Standard delivery for orders under £35 is £3.95 excluding cards, chocolate bars and some other flat or special items where delivery for these items alone is FREE and send royal mail 2nd class (non-tracked). Most other deliveries are via a tracked delivery service accept where items that are sent direct from sellers and suppliers. Orders over £35 qualify for free standard shipping. 

Express delivery is available for orders and is £7.50 on orders under £40 or £4.95 for orders over. In some cases, it is possible for in-stock items to arrive next day. If you need an item this quickly, we advise that you contact us first to check if this possible.

Delivery is for UK mainland only. If you would like delivery in another area, please contact us prior to purchase.

Non-delivery or missing package

In the event of non delivery we will work with you and the courier to resolve. As all items are tracked, it is unlikely that this should occur if all delivery information provided was correct. Please allow 10 working days from point of order for a standard delivery order to arrive. Please allow 5 working days from point of order for an express delivery item to arrive.


In the event of damage during delivery, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. We will require images and as much information as possible with regards to the package and the circumstance of delivery. We will then raise this with the courier.

We will endeavour to resolve any delivery issues as quickly as possible for you. In some extreme circumstances, a replacement or refund may be offered.

Delivery from third party sellers

Please check listings carefully to identify if the product you are ordering is from either Duck in Boots or from one of our third party sellers. They may have different lead times and delivery methods or costs. We are not responsible for the contact of sale between you and a third party seller but will happily work with you and a seller to try to resolve any issues you may encounter.


We are mindful of our impact on the environment and therefore use recycled or previously used packaging to send out items whenever possible.



Items are generally dispatched within 3 working days if items are in-stock. Please read item descriptions carefully as here it will indicate if items will take longer to be dispatched.



Free collection is available from Health Foods For You on North Street Sudbury. Items that are in-stock will be taken to the store within 2-3 working days ready for collection. You will receive an email notifying you when your item is ready. Opening times are 9am til 5pm Monday to Saturday.


Pre order items are shipped once they are in-stock and have been checked for faults. If you place an order of multiple items and some of these are pre-order, unless otherwise prior arranged, these will be sent together once all parts of your order are ready for dispatch. If you have opted for local collection, please contact us if you would like parts of your order dropped to the collection point before your pre-order items.


COVID-19 Information

We have had to suspend free collection from our town centre collection point but are able to offer free collection from an alternative residential address in Sudbury for contactless collection. 

We are also able to offer low cost local contactless delivery within 5 miles of Sudbury Suffolk with no minimum spend on Duck in Boots direct products only. This does not apply to third party sellers where their listing terms are specified individually.

Although we have not yet encountered delays in obtaining stock from suppliers, we must advise you that there could be potential delays due to the pressures on the courier and postal services and any boarder restrictions that could be imposed if an item is from outside of the UK.

Non-personalised items

We accept returns on Duck in Boots direct items within 14 days of delivery for full refund or exchange as long as they are returned in the same un-used condition which they were sent in.

Returned items are inspected prior to any refund or exchange being offered. To return an item, simply email us at for the return address. You can return items either by post or in person.

Damaged or faulty items

If an item is damaged in transit, we need to be notified within 3 working days of delivery to enable us to log a claim with the delivery company. We will require images of the item and packaging as well as information regarding the circumstance of delivery such as, it was left by the bins.

We encourage you test and inspect items for faults when they arrive with you. We allow up to 30 days of delivery for returns of items that are faulty. We will require images and information of the nature of the fault. If a fault becomes evident after this time, we will do our best to address this and resolve this directly with the manufacturer but we will not be able to process a refund or replacement as quickly.

These terms relate to items purchased as a Duck in Boots item. Third party sellers will have their own terms and your contact of sale will be with them for those items. We will try to assist if any issues occur.

Personalised or custom orders

We are unable to accept returns for custom or personalised orders unless the item is damage, faulty or is supplied with the incorrect personalisation. In the event of incorrect personalised details, we can only accept the return if the error is not due to the information supplied. Please ensure you check the personalised details you supply are correct.
